In 2007, the Los Angeles Lakers were one of the very few teams who had a player they could offer that we garner the attention of the Cleveland Cavaliers and LeBron James. Kobe Bryant was in on the back end of three mediocre seasons after winning three championships with Shaquille O’Neal. Bryant wanted nothing else at the time than more rings, especially rings without Shaq. According to ESPN Senior Writer Brian Windhorst, the Lakers offered Kobe Bryant for LeBron James in 2007. If that deal were to happen, it would have been one of the biggest blockbuster trades in sports history. Fast forward to the 2016, and we know that LeBron won two rings with the Heat and Kobe got two more with Pau Gasol and the Lakers.
