So far, our story has been coming along well. For those who don’t know, this is part 3. If you want to catch up outside of this little recap, I would steer you toward Part 1 and 2. I hope you enjoy those. So far, we learned from Kurama’s past that he once loved humans very much, and blessed a small village with his presence. A village of which the remnants become Uzushiogakure. During his time in the village, the wild fox’s heart was tamed by the kindness of a girl named Kana. This girl became Kurama’s everything. He was there for her during the good times and the bad, and during these times, the two were married and Kurama looked forward to experiencing the mysterious and magical role of fatherhood. But sadly, his planned life and future came crashing down when war robbed him of his love. In that single moment, Kurama became the devil everyone came to fear. This is what led to his anger, his hatred, and his eventual imprisonment within Hashirama Senju’s wife, Mito. He was bitter and hateful, considering this to be a fate worse than death. And as the woman grew older and her life came to an end, Kurama held out hope that he might escape. But sadly, this was not to be, as he was transferred into a girl named Kushina. She would curiously come and visit him. Despite his anger, his cursing, his bluster and his threats, she continued to return to speak with him, learn more about him. She would warm his heart and become his friend. But when she was captured by Kumo, she would undo the seal and let him out, which allowed him to save her from her captors. Returning with her to Konoha, he would disguise himself as best he could and follow her into the village. He would attend school with her and defend her from bullies. He, Kushina and Minato would develop a rather close friendship, and the three would graduate early from the academy and end up on the team of Jiraiya, who would train them, only to realize that Kurama, under the name Inari Uzumaki, was far stronger than he. But alas, things never last. When you’re a small team of Shinobi training during the Second Shinobi World War, eventually you find yourself in a life of death situation. And that is what is happening now. Team Jiraiya marches off to war.
