This is my attempt to model a more appropriate trailer for a Lord of the Rings story set during the First Age. The Amazon series seems convinced we want to see interpersonal drama...instead of the apocalyptic rise and fall of kingdoms The Simarillion describes. We've got the elves arriving in their ships, the kingdoms of men in a primordial forest banding together to fight a dark lord rising, the times of legends later books in the series will only remember in songs.
I think a more grounded, less glossy, more faithful adaptation would be much more appreciated by fans and non-fans alike. I tried to use no footage from either the trailer for Rings of Power or any other Lord of the Rings film for authenticity.
