Ah, the hungry, hungry Hunger Games - love them or hate them, Suzanne Collins' teen-fiction trilogy - while also being a chart-topping being selling series just behind Harry Potter - got a lot of things right when it came to a post-apocalyptic-totalitarian-dystopia -- and, well - at least they were still a better story than Twilight, right? Also, it's more interesting reception was the proof of concept that it posed as a means to a political and ideological end. How do you keep the proletariat oppressed, living in meager squalor and fear of the after life for the extent of their simple lives? You make them hurt each other, of course. But we'll get into that.
