Bakemono. I’m sure some of you have heard that word at some point in the past. To most, the word Bakemono simply means “Monster”. But the meaning of the word goes a bit deeper than this. Bakemono was indeed a word for Monster, as well as “Ghost” and “Specter”. But further still, the word “Bakemono” also translates to “A thing that changes”. And that is what makes the word terrifying. A bakemono, in essence, is a monster that changes. So easy can we see the monsters in movies, the Xenomorph in Alien, the Predator in… well… Predator (Also, I’m late to the party, but apparently these two had a crossover. I am uncultured swine :D).
