What is actually woke or broke? In Sports Politics
31Place of comfort… sounds a lot like a safe space. So lets make this clear about sports. Now I know many people here in these online communities not all but many are not that interested in sports. It’s fine and dandy, however in real life many people come from middle to working class backgrounds finding a source of entertainment. Something to escape from a stressful rat race called a 9 to 5 fucking job. Imagine working at retail where from 9 to 5 you hear people screaming at your face and you just took it all in because you have to make some bread and make it for the next week to put a roof over your heads as well as your loved ones.
So within these sports communities the sport that I’m mostly familiar of combat sports which includes, boxing, kickboxing, MMA to karate really fascinates me as I see people at their most fucking rawest it’s what captivates me. Something that raw and primal showcasing on how fragile we are as human beings when you see one or two hits can just light someone out.. So lets get back and look at what Shapiro said about this. He has that sentiment that many people have about things being too “political” in sports. I hear this argument a lot from right leaning anti social justice circles around here on YouTube you even see that people like Jeremy or The Quartering mention about go woke go broke many times as you can see an instance where you see numbers going down when something that feels fake, plastic and not genuine when people make these statements.
