What is the best Airplane Type Rating for a Pilot? Airline Pilot opinion. FS2020
#PilotBlog #Airplane #TypeRating
Hello Guys! I think you have a favorite airplane to fly. Me also! But what we like may not bring us stability. You may see now the retirement of old and large aircraft like Boeing 747, Boeing 767, and even Boeing 777. The destiny of A380 is also not bright. If you like long haul flights I would suggest to switch to Boeing 787, Airbus A350, and Boeing 777. As you probably know I am Boeing 737NG Captain and I would recommend to have the B737 rating or Airbus A320 rating. I think A320 is even more perspective since we still problems with B737MAX and B737NG is no more in production. A320NEO is almost perfect plane for your career. You'll still have enough landings compare to long haul planes and there are many of airplanes of those types around and your chances to find a job are very high. Also the pilot salary are higher. If you like small private planes SEP (Single Engine Piston) I would reccomend Cessna 152 or Cessna 172. You'll have a lot of spare parts everywhere. And you may fly humanitarian flights. As foe turboprop airplanes I have 2 favorites ATR42/72 or Bombardies DASH Q-400, they are widely used and you'll still be able to find a good job. As I did flying in Garuda-Indonesia. But I still think that you need to move for jet airplane for bigger aviation job market and better salary.
You also voted for A320 and B737. B787 and A350 for long haul.
