What is the meaning of life? - My personal take on it
2,268A lot of this amateur philosophy / rambling is inspired by what I learned about culture and society during my studies in Cultural Anthropology, but it's also based on my personal thoughts, feelings, experiences, etc.
So I talk about how humans create meaning / purpose, and how we conceptually build the entire world and even hypothetical spiritual realms. This is not to say that we just create an illusion or that our experience is some kind of simulation (even though that is an interesting idea to explore), but what I mean is that we heavily shape and define our "version" of the universe, our way of relating to things. And so we give it meaning, we define important values, create distinctions between right and wrong. This does not invalidate morals, not at all. Ethical standards are important to establish, but they are not found as some kind of fixed entity in nature.
