What is water scarcity and what are its main causes?

When the intake of water resorces is greater than the ground rechaige of hydrolugical cycle, it led to the problenn of water scarcity. It is an outcome of laege and growing population and concequent greater demends of water and unequal access to it.
Main causes of water scarcity is over Utilisation of water in irrigation and wastage of water in day to day life.
