Does The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening stand the test of time?

Despite being a pretty big Zelda fan, I gotta confess: I’ve sorta neglected the 2D side of the franchise. Growing up, I never had a chance to play the originals, A Link to the Past, the Oracles, or of course, Link’s Awakening. So from this day forth, I’m making it my goal to fix that, and I figured that, with the recent-ish remake on the Switch, Link’s Awakening would be a great place to start. Given how long ago the original was made, and with it being the first handheld entry in the series, I didn’t know what to expect from it. I’m FibreOpticBroadBean and this is my retrospective review of The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening!
