Since revengeance was announced, a lot of fans thought there would be more of a focus on a storyline based between MGS2 and 4.

Though Revengeance didn't have the most comprehensible/ masterful story - it's gameplay for the most part was king.

All the series needs is more fleshing out for the new Raiden.

Hopefully with Rising's next installment - these key story elements listed could find a way in the main narrative.

Specifically with more focus on exactly what happened to Raiden after mgs2 - it seems like mgs4 was leaving more room for explanation regarding Raiden's Patriot mission and how he was made into the current Cyborg Ninja.

A prequel in the Metal Gear Solid series has happened before, if it's possible - a prequel on rising would be great for each game's story foundation.
