What Orb Prime SHOULD be & Why (see description)
152These are my thoughts on the OP mechanic. Please, let's have a civil, critical and objective discussion behind this aspect of Paragon in the comment section below. I mean what I say in this video with sincerity and with good will; I care for this game and it's future.
ANOTHER IDEA: At 75, 50 and 25% health, orb prime releases a team wide buff that drops to the ground and gives 10% the power of the prime buff. These can be contested and gives a small reward to the team taking the guardian. The last hit secures the remaining 70% of the prime buff instantly.
Common rebuttals:
"Your team wasn't paying attention, you deserve to have it stolen" - There are scenarios you cannot stop, or it's unreasonable and/or broken to expect a team to counter it.
"Teams don't deserve participation trophies; you don't get anything when you don't last hit minions" - Minions and OP are drastically different in purpose, so why should their execution be the same?
"Smite primarily, and other MOBA's, are just like this and it shouldn't change" - Paragon and Smite are in a sample size of two, which does not define a concrete genre or standard; Paragon has more precedent to be different, if anything.
