TLDR:

1) 3-8AP cards take about 10-15min to "grow" (around the 20-29min mark)
2) 10-13AP cards take about 18-20+min to "grow" (around the 28-35min mark)
3) Takes about 10-14min mark to get 9AP (free Growth Totem)
4) Could buy growth totem around 6-8min mark to get 2-8 power & 40-160HP ahead of someone who waited for when it is free (3-8AP card could "grow" at the 16-23min mark or 10-13AP card at the 24-28min mark)
5) One could free-up some attribute points by going for growth totem when free to get a high cost card earlier
6) Cursed cards give you tremendous value in the early gamed, while growth totem could give you late game value.
