What is it?

BoneBorne: Prolouge is a platforming indie shooter made on the unity engine, where (based on the demo we played) you are trying to find medicine to help your ailing mother who just gave birth to you~

Gameplay: This game is designed for you to die a lot make no mistakes. The save checkpoints were pretty fair. The monsters were reset on death, but once you cleared out an area it seemed to stay clear. The jumping mechanics felt a little delay, and there were some points where I felt the jumps should have succeeded where it instead failed. The gun mechanics were based on having a normal gun along with special powerups that you received from boxes, with the special ammo being based on the rewards you recieve from fallen souls. Once you die you lose all of your ammo, but if you go to where you died you can pick it back up.

Sound: The music game track was pretty standard with the boss music being the real gem from the soundtrack. The characters were not voiced, but they did make little sounds while engaged in dialogue. The dialogue did have some spelling errors, but the author is not a native speaker and will hopefully be fixed in future updates. The characters did have at least 2 conversations each time you talk to them, so there was some value in retalking to characters.

The art:
The art design is consistent throughout, with the more developed enemies having a more interesting design while the lesser ones were a little bland. (Nick) tended to not like the design concepts, but I (TJ) found them perfectly acceptable.

Future:
The game was released March 26, 2016 on gamejolt, and based on the dev's response's in the comment section, he is thinking of making this into a full featured game.

Overall:

I personally enjoyed the game, while my partner in crime(Nick) didn't find it too enjoyable. But then again he is the type to get frustrated easily and seems not to be attracted to these type of themes. I on the other hand had a fun time, with my only gripes coming from the jumps feeling a little bit delayed in my opinion (it could just be me). We were also being dumbasses and didn't realize the function of the souls/ special ammo until the end of the game, so that could be a source of some of his frustrations. I enjoyed this game and hope to watch it's future. Thank you very much for your time~
