With so many options for multiplayer shooter fans these days, Ghost Recon Breakpoint went from being somewhat interesting during it's lead-up to launch, to, post launch, finding itself somewhat in the lower-mid tier in terms of it's critical reception and standing among the franchises previous entries.

But why would a game with so much behind it with the Tom Clancy name, the Ghost Recon name, and an open-world structure not work out to be the instant classic that all of those parts seem to suggest it would be? Why couldn't it gain the lasting traction a game like this needs to stay relevant long-term? What the hell happened to Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint?
