What's a DM to Do? Players Abusing a Magic Item| GM 911
Original GM 911 Post
I am having issues with a particular item, In my 3.5 edition d&d sessions i have always done random loot, so this is where the issue came in, we would roll the d20 to see the level of the loot and then percentage die for the amount of the loot they get, so we put it through the loot generator and one character got a 20 at 52%, and he got a mirror of opposition, this led me to worry, so the player kept his mirror in the bag of holding that he got a few sessions prior which made it nearly impossible for me to take cuz the group preferred not to caste sanctuary at the end of the nights in game, now every time there is going to be a boss fight at the end of a hard dungeon, the character takes out the mirror and the rest of the party either forces or tricks the boss into looking into the mirror causing the boss fight to be null and void because the boss has to fight a clone of itself i am at a loss for what to do
