What's AireCon Like? The board game convention that's a little different! 🎲
18There are many names on the UK Board Game Convention Map – UK Games Expo, Tabletop Gaming Magazine, Tabletop Scotland and last but certainly not least, AireCon!
AireCon is a yearly (if we ignore COVID interruptions) event that prioritises playing games above all else. Taking place in Harrogate, it's a weekend of being able to meet with your friends or fellow board gamers to play games, discover new ones, and more.
I admit referring to "recently" may be a bit of a stretch - it took place in March!
Whilst there are retailers there, it's not the focus of the event, and especially post lockdowns, that gives it a really exciting vibe. Plus, of all things to be excited about - the food options are great too!
It's one you won't want to miss if you want a great excuse to play games with your friends. Let us know in the comments your thoughts on it!
