Meet the US Navy's E/A-18G Growler, king of electronic warfare, and an aircraft that once shot down an F-22 Raptor in a simulated dogfight. Okay, so this photo is from 2009, and Growler has this marking, but not much detail is available. What we do know is that the exercise took place at Nellis Air Force Base, and Aim-120 was used against the raptor. So, the main weapon of an E/A-18G is not its missiles, but AN/ALQ-99 jamming pods, and with them, a Growler can easily make the radar of an F-22 Raptor useless, and can take its BVR capabilities, but wait, US stealth aircraft also come equipped with warfare systems for situational awareness and can provide all the information needed to guide an Aim-120 to any target. Pilots of the F-22 may face a different challenge from the E/A-18 Growler, but the results will basically be the same. 1 F-22 shot down 5 F-15s in 2003, 6 Rafales in 2009, and 6 Eurofighter Typhoons in 2012, so there was no way an E/A-18G could survive an F-22 raptor, and it was nothing but a lucky shot.
