Hello everybody, this week I was not sure what video to make so I asked my viewers on discord what they would like to see, and one sent me this video titled “Which politics is best for the economy” by what if alt hist, who I am sure you remember from my video 4 weeks ago in which we had a look at his channel.
At first, I thought there is no chance I could make a full Viki1999 video from just correcting one bad video. After watching this one I am sure I could talk about it for 40 minutes if I wanted. Remember that whatifalthist is a historian which means that they are not that well educated on politics or economics, and it really shows.
As always here is my disclaimer, I am a leftist, this means I will be biased in this video, specifically I will do lots of disagreeing when Whatifalhtist talks about what socialism is, because he is wrong, don’t worry I’ll explain how. Make sure to leave a like or so and let’s go.
The video starts off with this freeze frame and he says that economics determines whether your country will suffer or prosper while showing two images form the exact same economic system. He then does something I really respect a lot; he does actually say that he is centre right which I think is meant as disclaimer like mine, but he immediately adds that his does not make him biased and he will be neutral. He makes me wonder what he means by center right, does he mean he is to the right of the centre or a rightist centrist, I guess the video will tell? Then he has a sponsorship segment which reminds me…..
