One common-sense approach is to reset the board when the remaining prizes are worth fewer emeralds than the ones you've already collected. So I am releasing a calculator tool which can help you find the value of your current prizes and let you know when it is time to wipe the slate clean.

The values are set to what is still needed for me (I have plenty gold, but everything else is still needed). But, if you create your own copy, you can modify the emerald values to what suits you. For example, if your titans are all 120, you'll want to set titan potions to 0. If you've dropped $2,000 at the altar of the elements, you might set titan artifact seals to 0, etc.
