Rental karting facilities love to tell their customers that "all karts are the same." In reality, not even top level racing teams and manufactureres can guarantee the same performance between cars. I once tested 3 F3 cars back to back- same team, same age tires, same setup, and all three had different handling characterisitcs. They weren't drastic, but different nonetheless. There are plenty of driving technqiues you can use to adapt to the characterisitcs of a specific kart, but there is simply no substitute for HORSEPOWER!!!
