I unlock exploding bullets before my run even starts. That means a lot of damage even with a slow basic gun. It doesn't take me long to find a few items that increase my fire rate, a lot. Every coin I have adds attack speed, and I manage to find over 300 coins, so my fire rate is basically a laser. Combine that with an item that gives me extra bullets for every pet I have. The damage is enough to melt anything very fast, unfortunately that means hurting myself a lot with explosions. I'm my own worst enemy but as long as I'm careful I will manage...
