62Hello and welcome to a brand new series and challenge for 2025.
The NES Top 40 at 40!
A celebration of one of the most iconic consoles of all time the Nintendo Entertainment System. In 2025 both myself and the NES celebrate our 40th anniversary and to celebrate over the course of the next 12 months I’m going to build my dream NES collection made up of my 40 most wanted games!
There are no rules for this collection, I’ll be visiting independent games stores as well as CEX and anywhere I can find NES games, and it’s just the 40 games we’re hunting for, I’ll also be hunting for any bonus hidden gems, forgotten classics or games recommended by you, the viewers!
This tine we’re hunting all around Ipswich for NES games, at a local Pawn shop, the local CEX and local independent gaming store the amazing Retro Realm own by @SEGAZombie ! Trust me we find some amazing pieces here!
Next we return to Norwich for the Norwich Videogame retro market on the hunt for NES bangers and finally we have a CEX roulette.
But this time the hunt is tough and it leaves me asking the question where have all the nes games gone?
Now this series is not just about collecting games, it’s also about playing games and I’ll be playing every game in this collection, some of which for the first time ever in 40 years at the end of each episode so stick around for some retro gaming!
