Unlike most metroidvanias, the double jump in Silksong is in one of the end games areas, and is not really necessary for all the main fights. Still, it's Always nice to have and it's necessary to explore some maps.
For starters, you can start in Choral Chambers and head left till you find The Slab map. Afterwards, try to go down until you find the Scarab station and then left. Afterwards, you will find Shakra and you will have to face the most challenging jumping platforming in Silksong so far. Quite evil to gate the double jump behind a jumping frenzy!
However, you will need to have two skills for this. The claw line grappling hook and the Wall jump ability. If you happen to find the vendor that sells the trinket Ascendant's grip, which basically allows you to not slide when clinging to a wall, that is a nice bonus. Good luck!
