Have you ever heard of Lowell, Arizona? This town is just over three hours south of Phoenix and is filled with so much history!

Lowell was once home to the Lowell Mine back in the late 1890’s. In 1902, the Lowell Mine bought out the Copper Queen Consolidated Mining Company in Bisbee, which helped Lowell expand rapidly and become a very energetic town.

During the 1950s-1970s, the town was to excavate land to prepare for a new mine, the Lavender Pit. However, this led to hundreds of homes and businesses being moved. What’s left of Lowell today is all along Erie Street, which is lined by abandoned vintage cars!

This is the perfect place to appreciate some of Arizona’s rich history and also perfect for a little photo shoot 📸 Add Lowell to your « Must Visit List » in Arizona!!
