Hey everyone!

Welcome to Tunche, a 3D side-scrolling rouge-like beat-em-up game, developed by LEAP Game Studios in partnership with Gears for Breakfast. Tunche is a beautiful game set in the Amazon forest. You play as 4 characters, plus a bonus 5th courtesy of Gears for Breakfast, and fight against the Amazon rainforest in a quest to find this mysterious Tunche. Along the way, you'll meet many strange allies, the all-knowing Kawri, the rough and tumble Sacha, the simple but sweet spirit Ogi, the wild Water Spirit, and the eccentric discount Kuzko... I mean Leo(nidas XII). How will your journey take place?

I love everything about this game, no cap. Even the quirky controls grew on me over time. From the art style to the animations to the attacks to the of course stellar music, Tunche is a fun game to sit down and play for literal hours. Seriously, it took me nearly 3 hours to beat the first boss...

In case you were wondering, a "Tunche" is a real thing, derived from ancient South American mythos and folklore. According to the writings of the people who lived in what we now know as Peru, "El Tunche" is a spirit/demon that walks the Amazon, protecting and defending it and its inhabitants from any and all harm. Trespassers beware, for Tunche has a knack for people-reading. If you are a good steward of nature and have never intentionally set out to destroy it, then you are safe, but if you have harmed the green in any way (especially, God forbid, the Amazon itself), Tunche will kill you and eat your soul. Unfortunately, I do not know the name of the tribe from which the legend of Tunche originated, but if I do come across it in my research, I will be sure to let you all know.
