Welcome back to Tunche!

In this episode, I beat the game! We battle our way through the last world, Tunche's domain, and uncover some secrets along the way. Also I gotta say, I totally CALLED IT on those last 2 story twists!

This episode is the grand finale, but we will be coming back to this game to play as the other characters, and to discuss what I thought were some of the best features of the game.

I have one last batch of research to share with all of you before we close the cover on this series. Here are my findings:

Aya vine - The closest thing I could find to this is the real life "ayahuasca vine." Also known by the indigenous people of the Amazon as caapi or yage, ayahuasca is often revered as a "plant teacher". Ayahuasca is one half of a hallucinogenic psychedelic brew called "ayahuasca" that is used by shamans to elevate themselves to the spiritual plane, and call upon spirits and demons in order to either good or evil. Known in the scientific community as "Banisteriopsis caapi," this plant is a South American liana that is part of the family Malpighiaceae.

Vitas Varnas - while the phrase doesn't actually mean anything in Latin, since Varnas is not an actual Latin word, Vitas Varnas is an actual person. He is a 21st century actor and adventurer, just as the game says :)

Yacuruna - similar to Poseidon of the Greek legend, Yacuruna is a spirit born in the waters of the Amazon. Literally meaning "man of the river" in the Quecha language, Yacuruna controls the creatures and geniuses of the Amazon. Shamans often summon Yacuruna during their ayahuasca sessions to do good or evil for them. A deceiver and corruptor by nature, Yacuruna has been known to hex/curse/possess the ones that summon him. Typically, Yacuruna can be seen riding on a crocodile down the rivers of the Amazon, wearing a boa around his neck and sometimes, he can transform into an imp, or even a handsome human.

Runapuma - more commonly known as Yanapuma, Runapuma is an otherworldly creature that is a result of a grave covenant. Legend has it that a group of malero (bad) witches made a pact with demons of the Amazon jungle in order to grow more powerful. As a clause in their agreement, the witches were cursed with the ever-increasing desire for human flesh and blood. Whenever they would need to feed, they would transform into Runapuma, a black puma. For this reason and others, this is why the black pumas of the jungle are revered as sacred beasts, often viewed as either divine messengers of the beyond, or evil witches capable of cursing you and feasting on your flesh from far away.

I also had some theories about the game that I got largely confirmed as time went on. Here are my (now confirmed) theories, in order of appearance:

#1: Ukumari has a bigger role to play in the fate of Yacuruna and Tunche.
#1.5: Kawri also has a role in the story as well.
#2: The Water Spirit is Yacuruna.
#3: The Earth Spirit is Tunche.

Watch the episode to see how these theories quickly get turned into fact, and how they end up playing out in the grand scheme of the story.

I am not sponsored to play this game, I'm just playing it because it looks really fun. That and the Internet (imho) is sorely lacking in Tunche playthroughs, so I figured I'd throw my hat in the ring just because. If you would like to play this game for yourself, check out the link below:

I love this game so much and I can't wait to play it again, and I will play it again, a whole lot of times, on and off camera, just because it is that fun! We will be coming out with another "Let's Talk" video on this game but next time we meet, we will be playing Tunche, but as the other characters, starting off with the warrior Nayra.

Thank you so much for watching. I hope you enjoyed the series as much as I did. Let's have some fun together!
