Who Wears it Better? Warlock or Wizard π°π D&D Discussions
5th Edition Dungeons and Dragons added some elements to the wizard class that is going to become iconic for that character class. But it also added easily one of the most popular new character classes to the game in the Players Handbook, the warlock. Warlock was first introduced during the d20 era of 3.5 D&D. But back than it wasn't a core character class the way the wizard was or the way it is in 5e D&D. 4e D&D added ritual casting to the game of dungeons and dragons. Now many character classes that cast spells have access to ritual casting. It can also be acquired by anyone via a feat if you are playing with the optional rules of 5E. Warlock can access ritual casting through the pact of the tome warlock boon.
