The big Black Friday 2020 PS5 restocks have come and gone, but that doesn't mean there won't be another opportunity to buy the PS5 before the holidays. The system has been flying off shelves--both virtual and physical--and retailers have been occasionally setting times when new stock will appear online.
The next big chance to get a system is likely Cyber Monday, and we know you'll still have a shot of buying a system soon. Sony, for instance, has confirmed that the PS5 will be restocked before the end of the year. That doesn't automatically mean Cyber Monday, but given the number of people typically shopping online that day, it's a relatively good guess.

Where to buy the PS5 during Black Friday and Cyber Monday
PS5 restock at GameStop
GameStop's in-store-only PS5 stock on Black Friday went about as you'd expect, with dozens of people camping outside of stores for the chance to get their hands on the new PlayStation console. We have no way of knowing what the stock was like at all individual stores, though one sign seemed to suggest the PS5 would be the most difficult system to locate. In this specific case, it showed only two PS5 systems in stock, but six Xbox Series X systems.
The situation at GameStop outside of the in-person inventory is tough--a number of restocks have gone up on GameStop's website in the form of expensive console bundles, but they sell out pretty quickly. We have no knowledge of any upcoming restocks, but GameStop does usually email its customers with notices shortly before they come online. You'll also usually see the contents of the bundles in these emails. They contain things like extra games, controllers, and accessories.

PS5 restock at Walmart
Walmart restocked the PS5 mid-week during its big Black Friday sale, but the consoles sold out within two minutes. The PS5 listings now say the consoles are "out of stock" at Walmart, and there's no information on when PS5 stock will next be available. Walmart has kept all of its restocks online-only so far, so you likely won't find the PS5 in Walmart stores this Black Friday. It's possible a restock could come before Christmas, but the store hasn't indicated anything yet. Cyber Monday might be the time to look out for it.
PS5 restock at Best Buy
Best Buy has confirmed it will not have any PS5 units in stores throughout the entire holiday season, so you won't see the PS5 in any Best Buy brick-and-mortar stores until 2021. Though the PS5 appears in Best Buy's Black Friday ad, the retailer would not confirm Black Friday availability to GameSpot and said that stock will be available on BestBuy.com when they get more units. We have also seen stock go up without much warning prior to Black Friday, including in the middle of the night. Keep an eye out and you might be able to score one ahead of time. It may be available with an in-store pickup option if Best Buy's recent Xbox restock was any indication.
PS5 restock at other retailers
PlayStation Direct has been running queues on its site nearly every day since launch, but finding a queue on PS Direct doesn't necessarily mean the PS5 is in stock; it simply indicates high traffic to the store. It never hurts to jump in and wait if you find the queue and you'll be at your computer for a while, but know there's no guarantee it'll be in stock by the time you get through.
PS5 restock for Cyber Monday? Check inventory at Walmart, Amazon, Best Buy, Target and moreRight now, there's no indication of inventory at any of the major retailers, so your chances of scoring a console are not, shall we say, encouraging. If you have especially deep pockets, there are pricey bundles at GameStop and resellers at sites like eBay and StockX, but they're going to cost you upwards of $800 to $1,000. If you want the PS5 at retail price -- $400 to $500, depending on the model -- then you'll have to wait for retailers like Walmart, Target, Amazon, GameStop and Best Buy to build up some inventory, and that could carry us well into 2021. Even so, we'll keep this page updated with news about any inventory drops. We've also pulled together a list of retailers that might restock the PS5 throughout the rest of 2020.
