Why can Israel act anywhere in the world?
In January 2010, at a luxury hotel in Dubai, security cameras captured a tense moment: a group of people disguised as tourists quietly approached, broke into the hotel room and murdered Mahmoud al-Mabhouh, a senior commander of Hamas. Everything happened quickly, leaving no trace. These people immediately disappeared from Dubai, leaving the international community in a state of shock. Suspicion immediately fell on Mossad - Israel's famous intelligence agency.
Mossad has long been known as a quiet but effective organization, specializing in carrying out assassinations, information gathering and sabotage missions with high precision. Little is known about how they operate, but operations like the one in Dubai show the sophistication and decisiveness with which they operate. The Mossad’s history is intertwined with Israel’s most tense moments – from war, to terrorism, to shadowy negotiations. They are not only a symbol of the country’s intelligence prowess, but also a vivid reflection of the country’s challenging journey since its founding.
