Why Chasing The “Best Game” Is Making You Miserable
We don’t talk about it much, but a lot of us fall into the trap of chasing the “perfect game.” We sit down to play, and suddenly feel this weird pressure to pick the best possible game for that moment — the one that will give us the most fun, the best vibe, and make every second of our limited free time feel “worth it.” But the more you chase that perfect gaming experience, the more it ruins your actual ability to just enjoy games. In this video, I talk about how emotional FOMO has crept into my own gaming habits, and how trying to squeeze the absolute best out of every gaming session ended up making me enjoy gaming less. Ironically, it's only when I let go of that pressure — playing games like Red Dead Redemption 2, Cyberpunk 2077, Half-Life 2, and Hollow Knight without obsessing over the “perfect” experience — that I started to truly enjoy gaming again.
