India's BrahMos missile is a supersonic cruise missile jointly developed by India's Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Russia's NPO Mashinostroyenia. The missile is named after the Brahmaputra and Moskva rivers, which flow through India and Russia respectively.

The BrahMos missile has a range of 290 km and can carry a conventional warhead of up to 300 kg. It has a speed of Mach 2.8, which makes it one of the fastest cruise missiles in the world. The missile can be launched from land, sea, and air-based platforms.
