Why did the Medieval Crossbow replace the famous Medieval Longbow?
Taking a look at what features and logistics made the Crossbow a more practical weapon on the European battlefields before both were eventually replaced by the Musket.
Unfortunately, I do not own an authentic reproduction longbow or crossbow so I have had to use modern examples as stand-ins to illustrate my points.
