Why Did We Build a Superhighway in Hexagon City?
Welcome back to another exciting episode of Cities Skylines 2, where we continue to expand and refine Hexagon City. In this episode, we faced a few challenges with our mods not loading correctly, but we managed to resolve them and get back to building our unique city with hexagonal roads. Hexagon City is quickly becoming one of the most fascinating cities in Cities Skylines 2, thanks to its intricate hexagonal grid layout.
Today, we tackled some major traffic issues that have been plaguing Hexagon City. We noticed significant congestion around certain intersections, and our first task was to implement split phase traffic lights to help improve the flow. By adjusting these settings, we aimed to reduce the traffic jams and keep the city moving smoothly. Managing traffic in Cities Skylines 2 is always a complex task, but it's crucial for maintaining the efficiency of our hexagonal roads.
Our focus also shifted to enhancing the city's amenities. We realized that Hexagon City needed more parks and recreational areas to keep our citizens happy. Placing parks in strategic locations not only beautifies the city but also boosts the overall well-being of our residents. This is essential for any growing city in Cities Skylines 2, and Hexagon City is no exception.
In an effort to further optimize our traffic management, we introduced trams to Hexagon City. Setting up tram lines within the hexagonal grid posed a unique challenge, but the goal was to provide an alternative mode of transportation for our citizens. We hope that this will reduce the number of cars on the road and help alleviate some of the traffic congestion.
Education is another key aspect of a thriving city, so we decided to add another college to Hexagon City. Our existing educational facilities were becoming overcrowded, and a new college would help accommodate the growing population. By providing more educational opportunities, we aim to create a well-educated workforce that can support the city's continued development.
We also took on the task of expanding the city's hexagonal grid. Drawing new roads and ensuring they fit perfectly within the existing layout requires precision and patience. Each new hexagon added to Hexagon City brings us closer to our vision of a fully hexagonal metropolis. The satisfaction of seeing these roads come together perfectly is unparalleled.
One of the highlights of this episode was addressing the industrial needs of Hexagon City. We strategically placed new industrial buildings in areas with low pollution levels to ensure a healthy environment for our residents. Balancing industrial growth with residential well-being is a critical aspect of city planning in Cities Skylines 2.
Our waterfront areas also received some attention. We worked on terraforming the land to create beautiful, hexagon-shaped coastlines. This not only enhances the visual appeal of Hexagon City but also maximizes the use of available land. The artificial coastlines are a unique feature that sets our city apart from others in Cities Skylines 2.
To tackle the city's sewage needs, we upgraded to wastewater treatment plants. This decision was made to replace the older sewage pumps and improve the overall sanitation of Hexagon City. Clean water and effective waste management are essential for a healthy city, and these upgrades will ensure we meet the needs of our growing population.
As we continued to expand, we made sure to plan for future growth by purchasing additional land tiles. This proactive approach allows us to accommodate new residential, commercial, and industrial zones as Hexagon City grows. Forward-thinking is crucial in Cities Skylines 2, and we're committed to planning for the long-term success of our city.
In this episode, we also shared some technical insights about improving game stability. If you're experiencing crashes with Cities Skylines 2, tweaking certain settings related to your CPU and motherboard might help resolve these issues. Ensuring a stable gaming experience allows us to focus on building and managing Hexagon City without interruptions.
Finally, we reflected on the progress made in Hexagon City so far. From addressing traffic issues to expanding the hexagonal grid, each step brings us closer to our vision of the ultimate hexagonal city. The journey of building Hexagon City in Cities Skylines 2 continues to be an exciting and rewarding experience.
