Why Does Everyone Hate the New Minecraft Updates?

Whether players are mad at the unfair mob vote, the lack of new items being added, or the time it took to update the game, everyone seems to hate the new Minecraft Updates. Mojang bears the brunt of these complaints, but nothing seems to change. Year after year the new update is announced at Minecraft Live, and a few months later disappointment follows. Trails and Tales was too underwhelming, Caves and Cliffs took too long, and literally no one remembers the Wild Update. There seem to be so many reasons players hate newer Minecraft updates—but is it Mojang’s fault, or ours?
