Why Dragon Quest XI is (Almost) my Favourite Game Ever-Part 1
Dragon Quest XI is a game that I hold near and dear to my heart, and I see it as a pinnacle of JRPG design that all others in the genre could learn from. It may not be the flashiest of most complicated JRPG out there, but it shows that you can do a lot with the basics. In this 3-part series, I want to fully break down this game and see what works in it and why. I'll go through the story, discussing individual elements of if and what they add, and take breaks in between each section to discuss anything else worth discussing, so as to provide a good balance of information. Anything I say I'll get to later in this video that I don't (which is a lot,) I'll probably touch on in part 2.
If you enjoy the video, please do let me know in the comments, and if you didn't, or think there's something I could improve on, also let me know! Feedback is highly valuable, and I want to really give this game the review it deserves, and make it as polished as possible.
On that note, sorry for the 8-month upload gap. I had this video on the backburner for a while, and just decided to sit down and crank out the whole thing, and after a certain point it felt like uploading anything else would remove the suspense. This (probably) won't happen again.
