In this video I hypothesise why Grand theft auto V's map is designed in such a way that it has cause many fans and critics alike to note the map as being very boring and bland, but I think that the map was designed in such a way that it allowed the game to work at all.

The mountains play a very important role in the way the entire game works, it was released on hardware that was very old and required a method in which the hardware could render the games expansive world without throttling the hardware too much.
