For the first time in years, I won’t be the one leading the charge for Nintendo fans in Mexico at the midnight launch of the Nintendo Switch 2. I was the first person in the entire country to buy Super Mario Odyssey, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, but this time… I can’t be there. It’s a bittersweet feeling knowing that the tradition I’ve proudly kept alive won’t continue with the Switch 2. Life happens, and while I won’t be the first to get my hands on the new console at launch, I’ll be there in spirit cheering on everyone who makes the midnight queue unforgettable.

But don’t worry, this isn’t the end of the journey! When the next big Zelda or Mario game drops for the Nintendo Switch 2, I’ll be back in the front of the line, ready to carry on the tradition. This is just a pause in the story — the hype for the Switch 2 is real, and I can’t wait to experience it alongside everyone, even if it’s from afar this time. Stay tuned for what’s next, because this Nintendo fan isn’t going anywhere!
