Why INFPs Are Always Tired
Many of us INFPs fall into a dangerous cycle with our energy management.
We feel drained, so we "recharge" through passive activities like gaming. Five hours pass. We justify continuing because the day feels wasted anyway. Rinse and repeat tomorrow.
This loop feels productive because we're "recovering," but it's actually keeping us stuck. Our inner Guardian voice (introverted Sensing) whispers "Take your time, rest more" - which seems wise but just enables the pattern.
The truth? We can handle far more than we think. Our perceived energy limits are often self-imposed barriers rather than real limitations.
Breaking free requires intentional energy management:
Schedule deliberate recovery periods instead of unlimited "recharge" time
Start small - 25 minutes of focused work, then a 5-minute break
Build momentum through consistent action rather than waiting to "feel ready"
Challenge the belief that you need complete recovery before starting
Use active rejuvenation (walking, stretching) instead of passive consumption
The Guardian's voice of caution serves a purpose. But when it becomes our default response to challenge, it holds us back from growth.
True recovery isn't about escaping through endless downtime. It's about strategic rest that serves our goals rather than replacing them.
Start now. Start small. But start.
