Why Is Google Earth VR So Amazing?
22"Oh yeah, it's crazy. I've traveled to around 10 countries and my parents have traveled to far more (my dad has a map with red pins in it for all the places they've been to and the thing must have at least 50) and going to these places is crazy. I think part of it is this, to actually travel there took, often times, thousands of dollars, immunizations, dozens of hours of flight time and more time spent in traffic, lines, and obviously sleeping at hotels, but then this took just minutes and you could be somewhere else hundreds or thousands of miles away one minute later. The other part of it is the angle. We have been to these places but from the ground and we had to compete with the crowds to see them from good angles. In this VR though, we got birds eye views and saw entire parts of buildings that you may only have seen one wall of with a bunch of heads blocking part of it. I've been in a helicopter once in my life and it was amazing to see things from that view, and even then you have the hull of the chopper blocking your view and time is not unlimited, but in VR, you're the pilot, time is of no concern, and the view is nearly unobstructed not to mention can be completely stable. You know, I should probably make a video specifically about these things since I see a lot of people post on Google Earth VR videos asking what's so great about it."
