BF1: Model 10-A Hunter Shotgun (Is Too Good)

I am not the biggest fan of using shotguns in games due to their 1-hit-kill potential on infantry. It feels cheap to dye to one of them, same as sniper rifles. The death just happens and there's no way to fight back. Sadly though, the medals system in BF1 only allows you to work on a few select medals at a time. I had already earned a few of them and the others involved sniping. So, I had to resort to using a shotgun. My question then becomes, is the Model 10-A Hunter too good? It's range at killing 100 health enemies is pretty crazy. I think it needs a nerf of some sort. Wider bullet spread or faster damage drop-off. I shouldn't be able to wield it like a medium range beast and get triple kills with it at ranges I wouldn't even be able to get with the BAR Telescopic.
