What could Team Cherry be working on?

I have been thinking about Hollow Knight Silksong almost every day. I can't help it. Out of nowhere I was thinking about the different tools that you get to use when playing as Hornet and how awesome those tools are.

Then I was thinking about how those tools can only be repaired at a bench. The fact that tools can only be repaired at a bench may be an issue. Based on Hollow Knight, benches were very far apart. I would hate to get caught without some epic tools while exploring a long way.

I have a feeling that the development of Silskong could be focused on the balancing of tools so that there are not giant skips in the game.

This is all 100% speculation and Team Cherry may be focused on something completely different.
