Why Is It So Tough To Go To Jupiter? How Long Would It Take Us To Go There?
If someone stopped you on the street and asked you out of the blue, "How long does it take to get from here to city XXX?", how would you respond? Surely, before answering, you'd need a bunch of information... For example: Are you going on foot? By bike? By car, by plane? And which route will you take... shorter but rougher shortcuts or longer but smoother roads? Do you want to get there without making any stops? If you plan to go on foot or by bike, can you also tell me your age and physical condition?
As you can see, your answer couldn't be unique and immediate!
And it's somewhat the same if someone were to ask, "How long does it take to get to that planet?"
In this case, too, there are many variables, and everything will depend on the power of the rocket, the weight of the probe, the mission's objectives, the chosen path, and much more.
This applies to all celestial bodies in our solar system, regardless of their size, and thus also to the largest of all: Jupiter!
