Why is math boring?
Math is not boring. but most people consider it to be so.
A common reason many people consider math boring is that they never learned what mathematics really is.
Maybe they just think of math as memorized number facts or theorems expressed in formalized notation.
Of course, memory drills are good for training, but are not well-suited for creativity.
That's probably why most people find such exercises boring.
A mathematician, is like a painter or a poet. He's a maker.
A painter makes patterns with shape and colors. A poet has words.
A mathematician has no material to work with but ideas.
