Announcing Mesh for Microsoft Teams, a 2D/3D virtual environment for team collaboration. If my experience in government I.T. is any indication, coworkers who work from home don't want to be on video for privacy reasons and video isn't used in large meetings due to bandwidth limitations. While 2D avatars may fix the privacy issue, bandwidth may still be a problem. A fully immersive virtual environment will require more bandwidth and expensive virtual gear.
