Why Play Tales of Berseria If It Plays Itself?
I'd say since about Final Fantasy X back on the PS2, I've noticed that a lot of Japanese role playing games always end up with the main party facing a God and fighting for their right to choose their own fate. Tales of Berseria is no different.
It is this idea of control versus free will I explore via the game's combat system. The combat of Tales of Berseria being highly automated and under CPU control (with the ability of the player relinquish all control and let the game play itself essentially), I wondered what that says about the game and why this may be the case.
This video looks to answer that question.
