Did you know that after the death of Itachi, Sasuke actually saved a small village? So as you likely know, not everything was adapted by the naruto shippuden and boruto animes and this is another example of such an instance. In the Naruto story Naruto Jinraiden, the day the wolf howled, Sasuke takes a journey to a remote village that Itachi used to visit in order to get his medicines that prolonged his life, because Sasuke wants to verify what Obito just told him about Itachi being sick. It’s during this time that Sasuke meets the two brothers who helped prepare the medicine that Itachi used, medicine that was so strong when Sasuke took it he was left with vertigo so bad that he couldn’t even remain standing despite being healthy, Sasuke ends up battling a group of ninjas who attacked the brother and eventually an ancient chakra monster called Roen which based on appearance sound very similar to the Nue beast from Boruto, but upon realizing the beast was sealed into the youngest brother who helped Itachi, Sasuke isn’t able to kill the beast, instead allowing the older brother to give his life to reseal the beast in his younger brother.
