Why doesn't Sims 4 have an open world? (There is supposedly an open world mod coming; you can see details below). In this video, I'll be sharing sim guru and development interviews for sims 4 and the official statements for why we have closed worlds for sims 4, something that will not change. In this info and investigation video, I hope to explore opinions, both popular and unpopular, about closed vs open world, but mostly to look at pros and cons, and the strategy behind such decisions for sims 4. Finally, I'll discuss what I want for sims 5 in terms of an open vs closed world, and why neither is a perfect solution for sims gameplay, depth, story progression, and overall immersion.
I previously covered videos with other topics, such as why we don't have babies/ why there is no baby update for sims 4; why sims 4 is launching a sims reality tv show competition; why we got eco lifestyle for the new 2020 dlc, and more. I also cover news, updates and even speculation for sims--such as the 2020 6 month timeline, my wishlist and rumors for the new 2020 stuff pack, what I want in the sims 4, and if we'll ever get popular pack requests like generations, werewolves, resorts/ hotels, teens, or even babies.
