Had a bit of a cold, so excuse my voice.
A lot of people, especially Steam users, seems to be judging how many people are playing Planetside 2 based on its Steam's player number count.
But Planetside 2 has a standalone, non-steam client that a lot of its players prefer either for performance or simply just because they don't use Steam or don't like using Steam.
So in reality, there are many more people playing Planetside 2 than what is shown on Steam's Planetside 2 player count.
