Why Switch 2 Won't Be In The September 2023 Nintendo Direct
Everyone seems to be talking and speculating about the Switch Successor, whether it's the Switch 2, Super Switch, or whatever they are going to call it. There was a ton of hype when a Nintendo Direct was leaked for September 2023, and many people thought the Switch 2 would be confirmed. Well, U don't believe that it will, nor do I think it will be out anytime in 2023. There's one major reason why, and it all has to do with Mario. That's right, let's look at why I believe Nintendo Won't Be talking About Switch 2 in the September 2023 Nintendo Direct.
Reason 1 -
Nintendo teased that this was going to be a Direct all-about games for the Switch family of consoles. They are focusing on bringing out different games leading into the Christmas Holiday season, the golden quarter as it is. This is when Nintendo makes their most money across the world, and as such they are creating hype among their existing install base.
Reason 2 -
When Nintendo announces hardware it's either in the early spring or well before mid-year. They have the formula down pretty well. If they were going to have new hardware for this Q4 they would have announced it already, but they haven't. As such, they are behind the 8-ball for such a late-in-the-year announcement IF they were going to announce something. The timeline just doesn't work.
Reason 3 -
Nintendo already has new hardware in August 2023, that is the Nintendo Switch Mario Wonder Switch OLED. They would be foolish and really burn their customer base by having a new version of the existing hardware AND an upgraded or successor console. It doesn't make good business sense for them to do that, and it causes confusion in the marketplace. They would be incredibly foolish to do this, and they would turn a lot of people off.
These are just my opinions, what do you think?
